IP Settings
Whitelist the trusted. Blacklist the rest.
Maintain permanent lists of IPs that always get through and IPs that never do. These rules are absolute — they override rate limits, geo blocking, and every other setting in BruteFort.
Whitelist
Always allow. Your admin IPs, trusted team members.
Blacklist
Always block. Known attackers, repeat offenders.
RULE PRECEDENCE
IP rules are the final word
A whitelisted IP bypasses rate limiting and geo blocking entirely. A blacklisted IP is blocked regardless of everything else.
1. Whitelist — Always allow
IP is whitelisted → instant access, no other checks run

2. Blacklist — Always deny
IP is blacklisted → instant block, overrides rate limits and geo rules

3. Geo Blocking
Country-level rules checked if IP has no explicit entry

4. Rate Limiting
Attempt counter applies to all remaining requests
